AQ media/press parley comes up 1st October 2011

AQ  Born Gilbert Ubani, a Zoology graduate from the University of Lagos that is bent on meeting ends with music making. Born the last child of six, he lost two of his brothers - one to sickle cell anaemia and the other was killed during a university secret cult fracas.  He has grewn into a force recognized in the Nigerian hiphop circuit.The rap music maverick records under the moniker A-Q (Another Question), to query the state of rap music after the demise of Tupac and Notorious BIG. “the question is who is next?,” he asks and released his debut album last year -- December, 2010.


He would be performing a new single as well featuring a very special guest at the media/press parley.

Emerging Nigerian rap artist Dampte officially unveils his brand new single "Are You Ready", crafted by platinum producer Goldhands. The dance music inspired song is a smash hit in the clubs across Europe, especially in the United Kingdom, where Dampte currently resides.

"Are You Ready", which features T-Pain’s Nappy Boy artiste Tay Dizm, is now available on iTunes and was released via Bugatti Entertainment. The single is a critical success and it is receiving a great amount of attention from notable commercial radio stations around the country.

Dampte, born Oluwaseun Oluyole, is a gifted writer and electrifying performer, who has successfully rocked audiences across Nigeria, UK, and beyond. The university graduate is ready top takeover the airwaves in Europe and to attack the US music market with his catchy music and witty wordplay, combined with rewind-worthy beats.

Listing Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, K’naan, and The Notorious B.I.G. as his musical influences, Dampte is sure to step into the limelight to show the world that he is next to blow.

Another Rap Artist Gone! Rest In Peace (MC LOPH)

Got the news from a BB broadcast. I fell cool from within at the news that another great talent is dead. MC Loph an artist with a different touch of swag and flow, the C.E.O of Loph Records Entertainment. Born Obiajulu Nwaozor and popularly known as MC Loph, the rap artist met his untimely death earlier today while driving on the notorious Benin-Ore expressway. We gathered that he was traveling to
Anambra State in the Eastern part of the country for his traditional wedding when the accident that claimed his life occurred.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
