About Internet Radio
Internet being reachable to different places in the world, so does Internet radio. It has expanded enormously with an estimated 13,000 stations currently available, including many traditional FM /AM simulcasting their content over the Internet. It is estimated that the number of people listening to Internet radio will grow 200% to 147.6 million by 2011.

A Little Perspective on Internet Radio
Imagine (1) Internet radio station with an averages 2000 visitors per hour, 24 hours per day, the station will be bringing in almost 1.5 MILLION visitors per month. Now if you figure that the average person listens to the radio for 1.5 hours per day (and that's regular radio - it's hard to listen to Internet radio on your morning drive) we can estimate that 32,000 unique visitors frequent the site every day. If we establish a very conservative listener ratio of 1:3 (meaning the average listener listens for 1.5 hours over 3 days - ie, most don't listen on the weekends or every single day, some do, some only listen once or twice per week, nobody listens 24 hours per day), that gives you around 96,000 regular listeners per a major internet radio station times the figure with like 2000 major internet radio stations out of the 13,000 internet stations confirmed and currently available, including many traditional FM /AM simulcasting their content over the Internet.

Nigeria’s leading Female rapper at the moment, Eva Alordiah makes her debut with the much anticipated ‘GIGO EP’.  The 9-track project which Eva stresses is not her debut album, has been well received by the fans and critics alike. The EP was stated for a 20:11:2011 release and was premiered online at exactly 20:11 hours. A very engaging release as she kept  her EvaMusic hungry fans waiting till exactly 8:11pm Nigerian Time.
With the release of this pre-album project, the growing Eva fan base has obviously been on the increase. The hashtag #GIGO was trending on popular Social networking site Twitter and is still a tweet worthy topic, the fans can’t stop tweeting lyrics off songs on the E.P. Eva has done well for herself with the GIGO EP, released for FREE download online and soon to hit all radio stations across the nation and internationally.
Production credits on the EP go to Award winning producer of the year, Sossick and seasoned producers, Tintin, Gray Jon’z, and BigFoot of Mircwox.  The EP also features collaborations with Saucekid, Basket Mouth, Ikechukwu, Shank and Chi Gurl.
From soft sultry music on Track 1 (Ehhh Ft. XVol) to Afro infused sounding dance tunes as heard in (Your Fada) on Track 9, Eva takes us on a mind blowing journey through sounds and music that she is/has been influenced by. GIGO – Garbage in Garbage out, she states, is her way of giving back in terms of her music what she has been influenced by.
A listener would be captivated by her jaw-dropping rap lines on ‘Crazy’ in which she features top rapper, Saucekid who completely makes it an absolute must listen.  This is one song off the EP which has gotten the best reviews so far since its release and has automatically become a fan favourite. With ‘High’ on Track 3, she slows her rap pace down, completely captivating your attention as she drops her rap lines one bar at a time on a mellow sounding beat produced by ‘Gray Jon’z. This upcoming producer is also responsible for ‘Never Say Goodbye’ which takes the 7th track position just after ‘I Done Did it’.  With live guitars and a baseline reminiscent of the Bob Marley era, Eva delivers the storyline well, switching up her flow and show us why we call her Versatile.
The GIGO EP also includes chart topping singles ‘I Done Did it’ and ‘Down Low’ which were released earlier in the year and have done very well for the budding femcee.
The Nigerian Entertainment Awards 2011 ‘Best Rap Act’ nominee and winner of Exquisite Lady of the Year 2011 ‘Best Rap Female’ award has shown us diverse sides of her with the GIGO EP and we are loving the entire project. She has appeared on highly rated singles ‘Supersun remix’ with Bez, eLDee and Iceprince, and ‘Shake it’ on PSquare’s the Invasion album. She was also featured in the BET Hiphop awards Cypher for 2011. It is no wonder she is hailed Nigeria’s leading female rapper, churning out great tunes one after the other for us to enjoy.
Eva is currently unsigned to a record label but is exclusively Managed by 3UD (Thud Brand Management)

About Fredi Kruga

KRUGA IMAGE
For those of you who have not heard the name… where have you been? Kruga has graced the UK hip hop scene for over a decade now and is strongly recognized as one of the few artists left in the game who has helped open the doors for today’s successful UK rap/grime artists.

Kruga formally known as Fredi Kruga started off performing on small sound systems where he would combine his dancehall style with rap. This steadily progressed to performing at carnivals and festivals and in the past he has worked with and supported many top lining acts such as DMX, SWAY, DONELL JONES, BRANDY, LEMAR, LORD TARIQ, and PETER GUNZ, CAPLETON, H-TOWN, POV to name a few.
He became the first UK Artist to be affiliated with the notorious Wu-Tang logo when he was signed to WU-International by Mark Cordner and won several awards in the past at the UK Hip Hop Awards.
Kruga has gone from strength to strength and as well as keeping his head in the music game has also pursued an acting career and has most recently starred in the movie ‘Deadman Running’ alongside Curtis ‘50CENT’ Jackson, Danny Dyer and Brenda Blethyn.
His distinctive muscular build and acting skills has already seen him cast for a number of other films being shot in the near future, including SOLE REDEMPTION and LIFE AND DEATH. He also directs and hosts his own street DVD called MARRIED 2 DA STREETZ which is now on chapter three and has in the past been nominated for a SCREEN NATION AWARD.
A loving father, Kruga has always thought it important to give back to the community and has formed a number of companies including FATHERSTOGETHER (www.fatherstogether.com) which encourages fathers to play an active role in their children’s lives.
There is no doubt that Kruga is here to stay and his clever word play, dynamic delivery and undeniable stage presence makes his return a welcome fresh of breath air to the UK rap scene. Ask about Kruga’s performances and they will tell you that it is not uncommon to see him perform after jumping out of a real coffin or amidst a group of zombie clad dancers.
Ask him what is on the horizon and he’ll tell you….“What’s next Krugz, people always ask me the same ole….. so I tell em why aim for the sky when you can aim for the angels”

Presenting Ghana UK-Based Miss Rhythmic Soul, Juliyaa…

From the streets of North London, the soulful, fun and talented, Juliyaa was born. With her debut release ‘Rhythm’, this UK talent has  taken music to a different dimension with ‘rhythmic soul”. She’s already been nominated for the best new act in The Ghana UK-Based Achievement awards and continues to spread her music worldwide. Juliyaa talks to Flavour about her passion for life and music…

Music has been a big passion of yours since a young age…
Yes, since I was 7. I was bought up in a church environment and music was something that was around me all the time. My dad loves reggae,  we’ve got a box full of  vinyls. Every Sunday morning, my mum used to blast music. I’ve also got four sisters, my older sister is a music teacher, the other is in America and she’s got an interest too, it’s  part of who I am.
Who’s inspired you?
I’d say Billy Holiday, Alicia Keys, Al Green, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder. Also a UK group, Uncle Jam, they were fantastic! Ms Dynamite too, she’s done so much for British music.
What’s the concept behind ‘Rhythmic Soul’?
When they put you in a genre box, I questioned where would I like to be? I thought I don’t sit in old soul, because I don’t really do old soul but I pay homage to soul. I’m not really R&B because I have a funk element to me, then I thought what defines me? It’s the rhythm! (laughs) I thought rhythmic soul! It just came together.
You can start a trend…
(laughs) yeah I’m going to try!
What was it like touring with Estelle and Heartless Crew?
It was fantastic! Touring as a  teenager, opened my eyes to so many things. Seeing artists like Estelle back in the day, when she was doing her UK stuff was amazing. People like Heartless Crew, they’ve been in the game for so long. To see established artists who represent UK music is a real privilege.
Who would you love to collaborate with?
Alicia Keys is the first person who comes to mind, but on the other side of the stage it would be the late Nina Simone, I would’ve loved to have sung with her.
What was it like filming your debut video?
It was fun, fun, fun! We had so much jokes on set. The team, I just have to big them up, they did a fantastic job. We worked from 9am to 12 midnight and were so focused, but had so much fun. I had to throw M&M’s into the director’s mouth from afar (laughs) It was crazy.
Did you always know you wanted to be a singer?
Yeah, but I can’t describe it. If you wake up in the morning and you have a feeling deep inside you and that feeling doesn’t go, you know you’ve got to pursue that dream and I really think that’s what you are meant to do. When I was young my mum used to say ‘Juliyaa you are always singing!’ (laughs). I know that’s what I’m meant to be doing.
You’ve performed at a variety of venues including Camden Proud and The Station Sessions, how’s the experience been for you?
It’s been crazy! I love doing live shows, I urge anyone who has heard my music come to a live show and you’ll get what you pay for. I love performing with my amazing band, the guys are fantastic. Performing at these venues are so prestigious, really amazing. I’m performing at the  Jazz Cafe on November 11th, I’m very excited.
What’s the best part about performing?
People vibing to my songs! I’m like oh my gosh they are singing along! (laughs) This is a song that I’ve been writing in my room, now I see someone in front of me singing my words, I’m like whaat?! That’s crazy! (laughs)
When is your album going to be released?
In 2012, before that I’m realising an EP in April/May 2012. So super excited, but before that you will be getting another single, so don’t worry.
Your mum was a gospel singer, would you consider doing a gospel album?
My music is much about life, love and relationships as it is about the gospel. I feel many of my songs are inspired by my relationship with God. I wouldn’t necessarily say I would do a gospel album, I don’t want to restrict myself. But who knows? You never know in the future, I might do a Christmas Carol album! (laughs)
Which artist should we look out for in the UK urban scene today?
My friend Michael Kiwanuka he’s absolutely amazing! I saw him live at Bush Hall Music, he was fantastic, he’s just been signed by Polydor and supported Adele on tour. He’s her main support act for UK- look him up, his voice is just real soul.
What are your fans like?
When I get positive feedback from fans, it’s really encouraging and I thank everyone who have ever said kind words and supported my music. I love that, keep on feeding back to me, tweeting, emailing, keep listening to my music!
What advice would you give upcoming artists?
If you’re passionate, pursue it and do things that’ll make the world a better place. Also, find good people who’ll support your dreams, no man is an island you can’t do it alone. It’s only through community and good people that will help you get through tough times. You’ve got a short life to live, you might as well do something great with it. One more thing, happiness is not a destination but a journey, my life is a continuous journey, whatever point I reach, that won’t be the point where I’ll start enjoying life, I’m enjoying the present  because I’m alive today.
What have you got planned for the future?
More music, more rhythmic soul (laughs), banging live shows, just good vibe, let’s bring some joy and dancing back into music!
