Born OGUNMEKAN BABATUNDE EBENEZER, the son of Mr. A.B OGUNMEKAN, the artist derived his stage name THEXMOND, from his friends in secondary school who saw the musical creativities in him. THEXMOND has been passionate for music since he was in secondary school. He has grown up listening to artist like { BLACK CHILD,MISS ELLIOT,FELA ANIKULAPO,MAJEK FASHEK,RASKY MONO & BLACKY} TO NAME A FEW. His unique voice and his versatile talent, has taken him to the front of the pack making him standout amongst others artist in today’s music industry.
While in the university, THEXMOND still keeping in mind that someday he will return to the music scene, which he gradually embarked on 2010 shortly after his graduation. His first professional recording was in the year 2007/08 entitled {Dugbo gbo} which was very popular then. THEXMOND has recorded various tracks for his upcoming album. While working on his album. He launched his first single as a solo artists entitled { Egba wa o} in 2010/11 which have been receiving massive airplay beyond. THEXMOND has performed in several shows and events across Africa & Nigeria, representing Nigeria to the fullest. He has also performed alongside Nigeria artists in like of [FAZE, K-SOLO, DJ ZEEZ, PAULPLAY, DAGRIN, CLEVER J, AKEEM DA DREAM, SEAN TERO] and others. His mission is to represent where he comes from by introducing his style of music {AFRO HIP HOP} to the world. THEXMOND believed he can only achieve his dreams and inspiration through the love of his fans. His words “ I want to speak to the world with one voice, so that people can feel me in a positive way that will touch their body and soul.
